The Web Site: Dateline NBC (an American ‘news’ magazine teevee thingamajig) has this recurring program dealing with Online Predators. It’s actually very addicitive. Basically grown men (The Perverts) find people online whom they believe are young, young, young girls and boys (The Cops). These men (re: Peddies) then travel, sometimes for hundreds of miles, to visit these ‘online friends’ (re: Cops). They arrive, find a TV crew, get interviewed, then get thrown to the ground by The Cops and arrested. Happy Ending! They’ve caught hundreds of people (re: Peddies).
The Spam Filter: You know what that is.
…other than that… oh yeah, generally when people post “cute” they get inundated with emails from people who should be on Dateline NBC (I think it’s on Friday nights). There’s an excellent chance you knew all of this (at least the non-Dateline parts) before I came along… but I just wanted to make sure.

I don’t have a car. So they’ll have to be pretty local to me, but I’ll do what I can.
That ’spam filter’ thing, though… (I’m a reporter, by the way, and my specialty is ‘Internet Privacy Issues’… or at least it was. Maybe there’s a post in there…) Anyway. Oh yeah… perverts and filters. Sometimes perverts send photos to people they think are perverted like them, sometimes they send photos to people they want to pervert. Anyway. You know this. I have to go save the world now… and I have to walk to get there, so I should get going.

No… it’s Canada. The roads only work for five days in July. Otherwise we’re pretty much relagated to the Human Sized Hamster Runs (HSHR’s). Sometimes we’re lucky and we find the room with the water bottle.
