The Pink Jellybaby

Wherever I lay my Hat

Posted by: pinkjellybaby on: January 8, 2009

This morning, we all but ran down to the letting agents and put our deposit down for our new place..

So now it’s officially ours and I can get all excited and tell you all about it! I’m not trying to make you all jealous, but I thought you might want to share in my happiness.

I will leave putting up pictures of the actual apartment until we are moved in as the letting agents pictures just don’t do it justice, but just so you can picture where I will soon be blogging from, here is a little panorama for you (you might have to click to see it properly):

The terrace (which we have given up having a pool for) is a nice size and has lovely views of both the sea on one side and the mountains on the other (You just wait for the panorama of that!). This will make a nice change from having to sit on our front step if we want to get any fresh air, and having to put our washing out the front of the building for everyone to see!

Aside from the terrace, I think  there are a lot of positives and many things that made us fall in love with it as soon as we walked in the door, including:

  • The pretty blue front door, a very Spanish looking one, with a wrought iron gate over it and pretty pink flowers.
  • The THREE sofas.
  • The window in the bathroom (our current one has no window which is a bit of a smelly pain)
  • The big double patio doors which let in a lot of light
  • The fridge having its own little annex in the hallway
  • Big wardrobes (here we have so little room, most stuff is in suitcases under the bed)
  • The location is such that the only people who have to walk past us are the three or four in the building next door. The road is a dead end and the little complex is gated so it should be pretty quiet.
  • Stairs down to the beach

So, aside from having just €50 to last us nearly three weeks (The holding deposit was all the money we had) I’m very very much looking forward to everything.

My heavens it is beautiful! And that terrace! My eyes are bloodshot with envy and droooling with tears. Congrats on the new place! I am also a gigantic fan of the blue door – I hope to have one when I grow up.

Hehe thanks! The Boy doesn’t get the whole ‘blue door’ thing… it’s the colour of the sky and is lovely. It might become my most photographed thing.

OH. MY. GOSH. That’s where you live?!? You live in paradise. Girl, I’m never having sympathy for one of your bad days again! Holy Moley. Congrats!! Um…when can I visit? ;) Hee hee!

I’m not jealous at all. I mean, why would I be? It’s not like I like the warm sun and sea views. I pity you really, i’d much rather be in grey foggy london. Now that’s what I call paradise… Looks absolutley lovely and I hope you and Boy will be truely happy in your new pad! :o )

Wow – that location and everything is amazing! Congrats!

Oh wow! This looks so cool… AND your’re moving from the shade to the sun looking at that picture… or do the clouds move around in Spain (’cause they certainly don’t in Wales… )
