So, what do you get when you’re broke, or when they have everything, or when it’s all brand new and you want to get them something that shows just how cool you are?
Well, visit this site’s Valentines Gift page for all things pink, romantic or just plain expensive.
The site in general is a really good one, so even if you’re not looking for a Valentines gift, (perhaps you’re single?), then this is the place to treat yourself to a little something pretty or indeed treat a friend/family/random stranger to something pretty. 
I think my favourites are:
- The animal cushions (wink wink to anyone wanting to buy a ‘going away present’)
- The pretty necklaces (wink wink to you men out there)
- Pantone Mugs
- Retro Phones
Failing that, home made cookies, a dozen roses, smelly things from Lush, chocolates from somewhere expensive or very TASTEFUL and pretty underware might do the trick.
So, don’t forget….flowers from the local petrol station just won’t cut it.

Or you could try to spend the two weeks leading up to Valentines day telling your loved one that Valentines day is a heartless and pointless holiday so Big Fat Salary Men can line their wallets. And also that the pair of you already let each other know how much the other one means on a daily basis.

Being single for the first time in something like 17 years the reminder that outlook threw up at me today was not welcome. I may or may not be buying my [very cute] bar tender a rose but I’m not sure if she just thought I was stalking her (especially given I think she’s probably only 19).
In order to buy you the necklace for you I’d either need to know where you lived or have to meet up with you somewhere

I checked out that site you pointed us to in your blog post and some good stuff on there…but I’m a bit old fashioned perhaps – I’m getting my girl some good artisan chocolate truffles from Chatham’s Fine Chocolates – the best chocolate in the world! And this way, I get to enjoy the gift too
